Brecon Beacons

This project was a wonderfully romantic one!

Andy and Naomi who live just outside Cardiff asked me if I could create a rug for their living room.

We talked about colours and other sources of inspiration and eventually this led us to discussing special places as it was becoming clear that a design centered on landscape would appeal.

Andy disappeared into his study and came back triumphantly saying he had photos from when he had asked Naomi to marry him on the Brecon Beacons.

The photographs he had taken were so beautiful  I decided to create their rug in direct response to the picture and make a piece celebrating their love for one another
